The "information" is the formal charging document filed by the district attorney alleging that a defendant has committed a particular offense. The information may contain multiple charges. The information should list the title of the action specifying the name of the court the action is pending in, the statute that the defendant is accused of violating, a simple plain statement of the facts in "ordinary and concise language" that explain what the state is alleging constitutes the offense, a list of "endorsed witnesses" that the state will use to prove the allegations, identifying information of the defendant and any prior felony convictions the state will use to enhance the punishment.
Some of the requirements of an information can be found at Title 22 O.S. Section 401.
